CNY Central Parity USD/CNY (CNY per USD)

What it measures

The central parity is the yuan's daily reference rate against the dollar, set by CFETS from the previous close and quotes from contributing banks, and published at 09:15 Beijing time on trading days.

It is the PBOC's stated fixing, not the spot rate in the market. The gap between this fix and the traded USD/CNY or USD/CNH rate is the read on how far the market is being allowed to move.

A higher number is more yuan per dollar, which is a weaker yuan. The series is the USD/CNY parity only.

There is no advance calendar. The next fixing exists on the next mainland trading morning and is shown here as unknown.
