Terms of Use
Effective 18 July 2026
Paid subscriptions are not open. These terms cover the current public service. Commercial terms, the contracting entity, governing law, refund policy, and tax details will be finalized and presented before any purchase.
Informational service
China Snapshot provides source-linked informational and analytical material about China. It is not legal, financial, investment, tax, compliance, or other professional advice. Information may be delayed, incomplete, mistranslated, or incorrect. Verify important decisions against original sources and qualified advisers.
Permitted use
You may access the public site and use reasonable excerpts with attribution and a link. Public machine-readable feeds may be used in ordinary research and agent workflows subject to rate, attribution, and source requirements. You may not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, misrepresent content or provenance, probe for credentials, or use the service unlawfully.
Sources and intellectual property
Third-party headlines, documents, data, and marks remain the property of their respective owners. China Snapshot’s selection, organization, translations, synthesis, software, and presentation are protected to the extent allowed by law. Source links are provided so users can inspect the underlying record.
Accounts and future paid access
Account and subscription features shown on the site may be incomplete, invite-only, or disabled. No paid contract is formed until a checkout clearly states the seller, price, billing interval, taxes, renewal and cancellation terms, and you affirmatively complete payment.
Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Features, sources, schedules, and free limits may change. Stable public archive permalinks are intended to remain citable, but no uninterrupted availability is promised.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, China Snapshot and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or reliance losses arising from use of the public service. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
Contact and future terms
Questions can be sent to contact@china-snapshot.com. The incorporated provider identity, governing law, dispute terms, and paid-service conditions will be added before live billing. Continued use after a posted update means the updated public terms apply from their effective date.
